Classic cardigan with a very feminine silhouette and relaxed fit.

Dropped shoulders and v-neck. Boxy sleeves with decreases for a balloon effect. Knitted in our base ‘Cloud’ combined with Kidsilk Lace for a soft and drapey effect.

The model in the picture is 169 cm tall and wears a size 2.

8 (9, 10, 11) (12, 13, 14) skeins of Cloud Gregoria Fibers (50g = 120 yards/110 m) (42% baby alpaca, 28% extra fine wool 30% cotton).

5 (5, 6, 6) (7, 7, 8) skeins of Kidsilk Lace Gregoria Fibers (25g = 230 yards/ 210 m) (73% superkid mohair, 27% silk).

The sweater is worked holding two strands of yarn together (one of Kidsilk Lace and one of Cloud).

For the sample we used one strand of Kidsilk Lace in colourway “Sand” and one strand of Cloud in colourway “Shell”.

NEEDLES

US 8 / 5 mm circular needles, cable length 32 or 40” (80 or 100 cm) for stockinette stitch. US 6 / 4 mm circular needles, cable length 16 or 24” (40 or 60 cm) for the ribbing.

GAUGE

16 stitches x 23 rounds = 4” / 10 cm on US 8 / 5 mm needles in pattern stitch worked flat after blocking.

Gauge is crucial for this project. Please make sure you achieve gauge by changing needle size if necessary.
