- 19 March 2020
- 26 March 2020
Want to learn to knit but don’t know where to begin..? Take our beginner knitting class, make a beautiful cowl over the course of two, 2-hr workshop sessions, and add the fun, relaxation, and fashion of knitting to your life!
In the class, learn how to: Knit, purl, cast-on and bind-off, add a new colour, make stocking stitch, garter stitch, and ribbing, weave in ends, and sew up your cowl.
The class is perfect for brand new knitters or those who wish to dust off long-forgotten knitting skills! It’s structured to give you time to begin your cowl in the first session, provide you with the understanding to work on the body of the cowl at home over the next week, and finally, add your second colour yarn and finish your cowl in the second session.
The cost of the class includes the wool, pattern and needles to make the cowl, access to short, straight-forward video tutorials to help you remember how to make the stitches on your own time, and general information and bits and bobs about the knitting world!
Dates and time: Each session is two hours long and will run from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at Beautiful Knitters (53 Moreton st, London) on the following dates:
Class capacity: Min 3, Max 6 participants
About the teacher Christine:
Christine studied sculpture, specialising in textiles, at the University of Colorado, with a sprinkling of fashion design study in Florence. She has been knitting since she was too wee to remember and has been helping other people learn ever since.
