This is a class for intermediate knitters wanting to learn a fun new skill! The class will take place on one afternoon and last three hours, covering everything you need to know to dive into two-colour stranded knitting. You will how learn to:
Class participants should be familiar with knitting in the round, following a simple chart, casting on and binding off.
Materials to bring:
Participants will need to bring their own needles—the pattern is intended for 2.25mm - 2.5mm, but please bring a range, as your tension may require a slightly larger or smaller needle. Please bring your preferred style of needles for small-circumference in-the-round knitting—magic loop, dpns, shortie tips on 23cm circular, etc. (There will be a limited selection of needles available for purchase in the shop.)
Included in the price of the class are two balls of Jamieson & Smith Shetland Heritage (light fingering), which will be a generous amount to make a pair of wristies. (You will choose your colours.) You may upgrade to a hand-dyed skein/skeins if you wish, for an additional cost.
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the class begins to pick out your wool and settle in to get casting on right away!
