Wishbone Yarns are dyed in small batches of ten to fifteen, using African rain water. The Western Cape of South Africa is in the grips of a devastating drought. Lily (the owner) do all she possibly can to minimise the waste of water – dye baths are exhausted completely and the water is used over again. Wishbone yarns are rinsed in Bio-degradable, organic Castile soap and this water is then used to sustain a small vegetable garden.
